Located in the heart of Angels Camp, California, Frosty Angels Camp offers a delightful twist on classic American comfort food that keeps locals and visitors coming back for more. This American restaurant specializes in hearty, satisfying dishes that evoke nostalgic flavors with every bite. From the moment you step into Frosty Angels Camp or pull up to their friendly drive-thru, you can sense the care put into delivering a truly memorable dining experience.
The culinary highlight here undoubtedly revolves around their exceptional pastrami offerings — a fact echoed by many satisfied patrons. The Pastrami Sandwich and Pastrami Melt showcase perfectly seasoned, tender pastrami piled high on freshly baked bread, creating an irresistible harmony of smoky, savory, and slightly tangy flavors. This unique meat excellence extends to the Pastrami Burger Combo, which tantalizes with juicy patties complemented by the rich, smoky pastrami, elevating the beloved burger to a whole new level.
Equally noteworthy are Frosty Angels Camps’s robust burger selections. Whether you crave the iconic 5 Patty Hamburger and Fries or prefer the well-balanced Jalapeño Burger boasting a subtle kick, each burger arrives freshly made, loaded with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and tangy pickles that add delightful freshness. The generous portions ensure a full and gratifying meal.
Beyond their sandwiches and burgers, the menu shines with comforting American favorites that keep your taste buds eager. The Pulled Pork, rich and tender, melts in your mouth, while the inventive Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries offer a magnificent blend of spicy, cheesy, and savory notes — a perfect indulgence for those craving bold flavors. For lighter fare, Frosty's Fresh Salads, like the Grilled Chicken or Spicy Chicken Salad, bring a crisp, vibrant contrast to the heavier entrees, catering beautifully to health-conscious diners.
The appetizer selection is equally impressive, providing a variety of crowd-pleasing bites. Crispy Onion Rings, golden Mushrooms, and perfectly battered Jalapeño Poppers lay the foundation for a satisfying start to any meal. For a classic southern flair, the fried Okra and Tater Tots serve as the perfect accompaniments to Frosty’s main dishes.
No visit would be complete without sampling the array of milkshakes and desserts that elevate the dining experience here. From luscious Strawberry Milkshakes to the memorable Pineapple shake highlighted by one customer for its fresh, chunky fruit rather than just syrup, the beverages blend creamy sweetness with fresh fruit flavors that refresh and delight with every sip. The wide selection of shakes, floats, slushies, and parfaits ensures that every craving — whether for a cool treat or a rich dessert — is satisfyingly met.
What truly distinguishes Frosty Angels Camp is the authentic, welcoming atmosphere that has kept customers returning for years. Whether dining inside or opting for the efficient, friendly drive-thru service, you can expect courteous staff who add a touch of character and warmth to every visit. Portions are generous, prices reasonable, and the menu variety speaks to both the adventurous eater and the traditionalist.

Easily some of the best pastrami in the tricounty area. The pineapple shake I had was very delicious and was nicely blended with fresh chunks of pineapple instead of just syrup. This place has a pretty big frosty style menu featuring a good variety including burgers, shrimp baskets, fried okra and plenty options for beverages and sweets like shakes, floats, slushies, parfaits and more. The pricing is really reasonable for what you get, my aforementioned pastrami sandwich was pretty stacked and well seasoned for $11. The service was pretty standard but still good. The atmosphere is okay, it doesn't look too different from the Burger King that was there before it, but the walls look like they were repainted and other things refurbished as necessary. Thankfully, they do still offer service through the drive-thru if you're just grabbing a quick bite. I'll definitely be eating here again. I'm always happy to see another town frosty pop up and this one serves up some excellent comfort food.
We had lunch at the Frosty in Angels Camp, Ca. and had lunch. We both had the single burger meal and weren't disappointed, the burger was freshly made, loaded with garnish and very tasty. The fries were also freshly made and plentiful and also tasty. There was a Frosty in Angels Camp years ago that we used to stop at when going to the lake that was removed for road improvements I think, anyway it's nice to see one in town again..
The food was fresh and tasted great! Staff was very friendly. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the meat was Halal quality. The portions of the food were plentiful and was very satisfied. Definitely get food that has pastrami anything cause the meat is so good. Variety of ice cream and milkshakes are great too!
This is not your typical Frosty's. The food is amazing. It tastes so good! The menu has lots to offer & endless shake combos. I assumed all Frosty's were the same until I ate at this Frosty. Definitely not the same! I went thru the drive thru so I cannot comment about inside the restaurant but the employee that was running the window was funny, courteous & helpful. There was a little bit of a wait but it didn't suck! It was actually pleasant. Next time I feel like eating a burger from a Frosty, I will be driving past the one in my town so I can visit the one in Angels Camp!
The food is fresh the beef paties taste great. Lots of selections the price is good you get big portions.
I had a burger. The kids and wife had shakes, ice cream cones, and fries. Everyone was happy. The people who work the drive thru are kind and friendly. Only downside was the place looked a bit dirty and the coke didn’t taste good. We’ll be back though
